Day 8: God and my imagination – An example

Welcome to Day 8! I have decided to be brief on this article and try to add on what we spoke about regarding God and the imagination, and then share a Word I wrote in 2018 which was inspired by God. Take it with a pinch of salt if you do not really believe in ‘these things’ yet. But it is useful in what I will share tomorrow. So get ready!

God created a part in you that can analyse, another part for reasoning and ultimately you have a part in you that is used for imagining. Do not let anyone convince you that any of these faculties in you are evil. You were made in the image of God so nothing in you is inherently evil Genesis 1:27. We should not ignore our imagination because God is continuously writing on it. And He does it through His word. If you are continuously feeding your mind the word of God, you have no reason to vilify your imagination.

There are imaginations however, that could be from your previous life when you were not born again. Stemming from the music you listen to, the movies you watch, the news you read, your daily observations, etc., which are not aligned with the word of God. These imaginations that are not aligned with the word of God make it difficult for God to begin to write anything on your mind and use your imagination. That is why the bible says “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2. The word needs to clean your mind and purify your imaginations. That is how you get ready for God to use your imagination.

The way in which this works practically is that the Word of God will act on the information it finds in your mind, and transform it into spontaneous thoughts that would then form part of the outline of the prophetic word. In one article I explained how I have made it a point to listen to or read a prophecy every day since I was 12 years old. I have days where I do not do justice to this practice, but for the majority of the time, this is what I do. It has helped me build up the type of imagination that God can use to communicate His mind. I am still learning His ways just as you are also learning His ways. But I figured before we proceed with the series, let me demonstrate how God could transform information that He finds in your mind into spontaneous thoughts that could then be aligned by the spirit of God to communicate the mind of God.

I know some are still skeptical at this point, so I implore you to just be open-minded, read the words inspired by God, which I shared in 2018. And begin to imagine (if I really wrote this, and just for the record, I did) how that could be possible or how you could also walk in the same manifestation. I know some of you will recognize the names of the members of the WhatsApp group. Feel free to engage them regarding the contents of the screenshot! Enjoy the inspired word! See you on Day 9!
